Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital West in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. Under RN supervision, you will perform routine patient care tasks, assist with transfers, and document care provided.

The role offers full-time day shifts (12-hour) 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. We provide extensive orientation, comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, dental, EAP, and a company 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or related field (medical assistant or actively enrolled nursing student).
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from treatment areas; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding for patients.
• Responds to patient calls and provides timely care, participates in hourly rounds and patient turning/repositioning.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by supervising staff.

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
