Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for per diem night shifts (12 hours, 6:00pm–6:30am). Compensation is $25.00 per hour.

The PCT will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing routine patient care tasks and documentation, and transporting patients as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital experience as a PCT/nursing assistant, and a current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas as needed; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding as part of patient care.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner to support patient well‑being; conducts hourly rounds.

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
