Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Peoria, AZ is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a full-time 12-hour shift. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care, transport to treatment areas, and daily activities to support recovery.

The role includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a thorough orientation to ensure a smooth transition into our inpatient rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience as a PCT, CNA, or enrolled nursing student preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to/from treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, showering, and oral feeding.
• Respond to patient calls and perform hourly rounds to support well-being.
• Document care provided under RN supervision and assist with routine tasks.

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
