Job summary

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation team. The role supports patients with daily activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assists with mobility and basic care.

The ideal candidate has hospital experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification or completion within 90 days. A sign-on bonus is offered and full‑time hours are available.

• Hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant, or related field is required.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform routine patient care and document care provided.
• Transport patients to therapy areas and assist with transfers.
• Assist with dressing, showering, bathing, and oral feeding.
• Respond to patient needs promptly and perform hourly rounds to support well-being.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
