Job summary

HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a Patient Care Technician to support RN supervised patient care, transport patients, assist with activities of daily living, and document care provided.

The full-time day shift offers $20.11–$25.50 per hour, with shift differentials and a $3,000 sign-on bonus; comprehensive benefits, orientation, and opportunities for career growth are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience as a patient care technician or nursing assistant, or related field.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, performs routine patient care and documents care provided.
• Transports patients to/from treatment areas and assists with moving them in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding for patients.
• Responds to patient calls and provides timely services; participates in hourly rounds and patient turning/repositioning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.


• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.


• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.


• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.


• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
