Job summary

HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital, in affiliation with Select Medical, is hiring for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Scottsdale, AZ. The role supports RN supervision, performing routine patient care and documentation, and transporting patients as needed.

Full-time days, 12-hour shifts (6-6) with a sign-on bonus of $3,000. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and hospital PCT/CNA experience, with BLS certification or completion within 90 days.

• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from treatment areas as needed; assist in moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding for patients.
• Responds to patient calls and completes tasks promptly to support patient well-being.
• Participates in hourly rounds and patient turning/repositioning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
