Ascension is seeking a patient care aide at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX. This role operates in the Mental Health department with a full-time, rotating schedule.

You will assist with patient movement, daily living activities, and maintain a clean, safe environment, reporting changes to nursing staff as needed. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience, and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.

• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff and documents necessary records.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
