Job summary

Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX is seeking a Pre Op patient care associate to support movement, daily living activities, and room upkeep.

You will report findings to nursing staff, assist with personal care, and help maintain equipment. This is a full-time, rotating schedule with opportunities for growth within Ascension.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports changes to nursing staff and documents necessary records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and maintains medical equipment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
