Job summary

Ascension is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant/Patient Care team member for Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin, TX. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on assisting with patient movement, personal care, and daily activities, while ensuring clean rooms and accurate documentation.

You will report changes to nursing staff and participate in a supportive care team to promote patient well-being in Med Surg.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire date.
• Professional licensure/certification can be substituted for education/experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and document records.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; maintain medical equipment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
