Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated healthcare assistant for Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin, TX. The role operates in the Anesthesiology department with a Full-Time Day schedule.

You will aid with movement, assist with activities of daily living, and monitor patient conditions, documenting all findings for nursing staff. Required is a High School Equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience, with BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• High School equivalency or 1 year related experience required; licensure can replace education/experience when applicable.
• Ability to document patient status and changes for nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Aid movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff and document records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly and maintain medical equipment.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
