Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I/II to deliver hands-on patient care under licensed supervision. You will document observations, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support within 30 days, and strong communication and computer skills to collaborate with nurses and the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days as a condition of employment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly and concisely.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer use and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Communicate observations to the RN regarding patient status and changes.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist with patient handling and mobility.
• Assist with daily living activities and nourishment.
• Support care team and participate in achieving unit goals.
