Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to join the care team. Under licensed supervision, you will provide direct patient care, perform vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and support RNs with treatments and procedures.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support certification. Prior inpatient/outpatient experience is preferred, and a signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support.
• Demonstrated competency attainment in the Patient Care Technician I level with at least 800 hours and 6 months of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments and procedures by preparing equipment and supplies as directed.
