Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct patient care unit coordination. You will support RNs in care of stable and acutely ill patients, perform routine nursing tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean environment on the inpatient unit.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR certification, and the ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification preferred (American Heart Association).
• Background checks: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73, FBI fingerprinting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and vital sign monitoring.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers on the unit.
• Maintain patient environment, hygiene, safety and supply stocking.
