Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on an inpatient unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, document in the EMR, and help with admissions, discharges, and transfers under RN supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to attend training, and basic math/computer skills. ASN/BSN enrollment is encouraged; acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Acute care experience within last 3 years preferred.
• Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program; completion of at least one clinical rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents direct patient care such as activities of daily living, vital signs, mobility, and specimen collection.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Accurately documents vitals, weights, I&O, and treatments; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
