Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient care assistant to provide direct patient care and support unit coordination in a hospital setting. The role involves performing basic nursing procedures for stable patients, assisting RNs with acutely ill patients, and documenting care in the electronic medical record under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and enrollment in an ASN/BSN program with clinical rotations; it includes a 36-hour weekly,

Competenze

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Currently enrolled in ASN or BSN program with at least one clinical rotation.

Mansioni

• Provides and documents direct patient care including activities of daily living, vital signs and mobility.
• Assists RN with care of acutely ill patients.
• Documents care in the electronic medical record.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and rounding.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers; supports unit coordination.
