Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; training provided for new hires.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic math and computer skills preferred; hospital procedures knowledge is a plus.
• Enrollment in ASN/BSN programs with preference for those with clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Support RN and care team for acutely ill patients and routine rounds.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, safety and comfort in a busy unit.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers and unit coordination.
