Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient care associate to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN. You will assist with activities of daily living, take vital signs, document in the electronic medical record, and participate in quality and safety initiatives while supporting unit coordination on the inpatient floor.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR readiness, and the ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college or nursing assistant coursework preferred.
• CPR certification preferred or required.
• Basic math skills for medication and dosages.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and assists with activities of daily living.
• Supports non-direct patient care unit coordination and admissions/discharges/transfers.
• Documents vitals, intake/output, and medications in the electronic medical record.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
