Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with unit coordination for stable patients and acutely ill under RN supervision. You will perform basic nursing procedures, maintain patient privacy, document care in the EMR, and support admission, discharge, and transfers.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, ability to read/write, basic math, and basic computer skills; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No or limited experience acceptable; training provided.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic mathematics and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and document activities (ADLs, vital signs, mobility, specimen collection, I&O, meals).
• Participate in quality initiatives and bedside shift reports to promote safety and cleanliness.
• Accurately document vital signs, weights, I&O, restraints, specimens and report changes to nursing staff.
• Contribute to unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
