Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct patient care unit coordination. You will support RNs in caring for stable and acutely ill patients, maintain medical asepsis, and document in the EMR.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and computer skills, and enrollment in an ASN or BSN program is preferred. Training will be provided during two weeks of orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent.
• CPR certification encouraged/preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Currently enrolled in ASN/BSN programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and assists with unit coordination.
• Assists RN and supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Documents care, vital signs, and I&O in the EMR.
• Maintains clean, safe patient environment and adheres to policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
