Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff under RN/LPN supervision in an acute care setting. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and ensuring a safe and efficient care environment.

The PCT will help with meals, mobility, hygiene, and basic care tasks while documenting findings and communicating effectively with the care team. BCLS within 90 days is required; CNA/CPCT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute care setting or currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, intake/output, and report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and daily activities.
• Assist with mobility, positioning, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose testing.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and adapt to changes.
