Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision in an acute care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and help maintain a safe, organized environment, reporting findings promptly to the nursing team.

Essential duties include assisting with mobility, feeding, hygiene, and daily tasks, while ensuring infection control and safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and intake/output to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and other daily activities.
• Position patients, assist with mobility, and use mobility aids as needed.
• Collect samples and monitor simple health metrics per protocol.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, including PPE usage.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and comply with safety goals.
