Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision.

The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, and ensuring a safe, organized care environment within a hospital setting. The PCT will support patients with meals, mobility, hygiene, and continence, while maintaining communication with the care team and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of acute care experience or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required; CPCT or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe care environment.
• Record and report patient data (vital signs, intake/output) to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose, reporting results.
• Maintain infection control and proper PPE usage; support effective team communication.
