Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered care under RN or LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and help maintain a safe, organized care environment.

Key duties include taking vital signs, supporting meals and mobility, and ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team. BCLS certification within 90 days is required; CNA or CPCT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or enrollment in a Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects vital signs and basic patient data, reporting to RN/LPN.
• Supports meals, grooming, mobility, and hygiene needs.
• Assists with patient positioning and use of mobility aids.
• Performs glucose monitoring and specimen collection per protocol.
• Communicates patient information effectively to the care team.
• Adheres to infection control and PPE protocols.
