Job summary

The Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor and report patient data, and help maintain a safe, organized care environment.

You will support meals, bathing, mobility, specimen collection, and chart documentation while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of acute care experience or current enrollment in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire preferred.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Collect and record data such as vitals, intake/output, and report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and personal care for patients.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids as needed.
• Monitor urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick blood glucose checks when required.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Maintain PPE use and participate in safety and quality initiatives.
