Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support a diverse patient population under the direct supervision of licensed nurses. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED and completion of a qualifying CNA/MA/PCT program or eligibility for the HMH PCT Apprenticeship. BLS certification within 60 days is required or expected.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of CNA/Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician program or equivalent, or enrollment in HMH PCT Apprenticeship program; option to enter Apprentice path if not yet completed.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of start date preferred/required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care and support under RN supervision, promoting patient safety and comfort.
• Document findings and communicate changes in patient status to the RN.
• Assist with patient assessments, admissions, procedures, and discharge planning as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain equipment, ensure proper hygiene, and support safe patient environment.
• Participate in PI activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
