Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician to act as a caregiver under RN supervision, delivering direct and indirect care to diverse patients and supporting the care team. The role emphasizes safety, patient satisfaction, and collaboration in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship. AHA BLS/HCP certification within 60 days is expected.

Competenze

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of one of the following: CNA, Medical Assistant, or PCT program; Fundamentals of Nursing; HMH PCT Apprenticeship; or equivalent medical background.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong teamwork and accountability.

Mansioni

• Provide patient care based on criteria appropriate to age of patients served; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team regarding patient status and care.
• Perform venipuncture, EKGs, specimen collection, and basic clinical tasks as directed.
• Ensure equipment is ready and environment prepared for patient care; assist with transport and daily activities.
• Participate in unit PI activities and care plan from admission to discharge.
