Hackensack MeridianHealth seeks a Patient Care Technician to join our team. Under RN supervision, you provide direct and indirect care to diverse patients, from newborns to geriatric, helping with assessments, comfort, safety, and contributing to care plans.

The role emphasizes teamwork, rapid learning, and communication with nurses and other staff. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, and completion of a CNA/MA/PCT program or equivalent; certification in BLS is required within 60 days.

Qualificações

• Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required include HS diploma or GED.
• Completion of one of: CNA/MA/PCT program or equivalent or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• AHA BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of entering position.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care based on age-related criteria.
• Record vital signs and notify RN of abnormal results.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for laboratory tests.
• Perform EKGs and ensure equipment readiness.
• Assist with hygiene, mobility and daily activities.
• Communicate patient status and changes to the RN.
