Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of one of: Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician program; Fundamentals of Nursing program; HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program; or equivalent medical background (e.g., EMT, Home Health Aide, CMA, MA, PCT, Nursing Assistant).
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age and clinical criteria as part of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Assist with assessment, admissions, and procedures; ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Document vitals and patient data; notify RN of abnormal findings.
• Support patient transport, hygiene, feeds, and daily living activities.
• Maintain equipment readiness and ensure patient environment is prepared for admission.
• Participate in PI activities and care plan collaboration.
