Job summary

Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Patient Care Technician to assist with daily patient care under RN/LPN supervision. The role includes helping with activities of daily living, posting vital signs, feeding, hygiene, and mobility while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

The PCT will support communication within the care team, monitor and document patient data, and contribute to infection control and PPE practices daily on the unit.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated patient care tasks.
• Record vital signs and report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support with meals, hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
• Assist with catheter care, intake/output, and sample collection.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and proper PPE usage.
• Communicate patient information clearly to the care team.
• Support performance improvement and safety initiatives.
