Job summary

The Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic care under RN/LPN supervision. You’ll support meals, hygiene, mobility, data collection, and safe patient environments, following infection control and safety protocols.

CNA/CPCT or BCLS certifications are preferred; 0-2 years acute care experience welcomed. Join a team focused on patient-centered care, continuous improvement, and reliable attendance

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred or
• Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs and other data, reporting findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, oral care, grooming, linen changes, and mobility aid use.
• Assists with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collects specimens and monitors blood glucose as directed, documenting results.
