Working in our Float Pool at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center (TMC) means you will provide coverage for any of our adult inpatient units. This role is Full Time, Day shift, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 36 hours/week. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of acute care experience.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) II performs patient care activities, including identifying and responding to abnormal findings, escalating changes in the patient’s condition to the nurse, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). The PCT II provides assistance with patient elimination, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and activity, practicing patient and family-centered care. This role typically reports to the Unit Manager.
Education: None
Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
