Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support a dedicated patient population under RN supervision. The role encompasses direct and indirect care, safety, comfort, and satisfaction of patients within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, and participating in care plans from admission to discharge. A PCT apprenticeship path is available for career progression within HMH.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship or equivalent medical background. If selected, may enter PCT Apprentice program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age, safety, and education criteria.
• Take vitals and document findings; notify RN of abnormalities.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens per protocol.
• Perform EKGs and assist with procedures as directed.
• Ensure a safe patient environment and assist with daily activities.
