Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for Acute Care Rehabilitation at The Jewish Hospital. The role supports patients under RN guidance, handling basic care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily activities.

Qualifikationen

• BLS Basic Life Support preferred, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care.
• Successful completion of nursing aide training program OR STNA/ CNA OR nursing program with clinical nursing course and rotation OR 1 year of relevant clinical experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record.
• Participate in hand-offs with pertinent information at shift changes.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Assist with safe patient transfers and encourage independence.
