Mercy Health – Marcum & Wallace Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide basic health care and support to patients under RN guidance. Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs and assisting with feeding and personal care.

Qualifikationen

• Nursing aide training program completed or approved equivalent.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred, must be obtained prior to direct patient care.
• State-tested Nurse Aide or CNA certification or clinical experience required.
• Recent experience in acute care or related settings preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Participates in hand-off/report of information on arrival and when leaving.
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilizes patients using safe transfer techniques to foster independence.
