Qualifications

• Recent acute care experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred upon hire (must obtain) or equivalent nursing aide credential.
• Ability to perform basic patient care tasks and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, mobility and hygiene.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse for updates and concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document care accurately and timely in the EHR system.
• Support hand-off reports with pertinent patient information.
• Assist with patient transfers using safe techniques.
• Encourage patient independence and tailor care to individual needs.
