Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Physical Therapy Rehab Acute Care unit at Fairfield Hospital. The PCT provides basic health care under RN guidance, sanitizes rooms, monitors vital signs, helps with feeding and grooming, and supports mobility and comfort for patients.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and compassionate care, with EPIC EHR training preferred and nursing aide program completion or equivalent certification required.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing aide training program or equivalent certification (STNA/CNA acceptable)
• Experience in acute care or similar clinical settings preferred
• EHR/documentation proficiency desired

Responsabilités

• Provide basic patient care including hygiene, feeding, comfort, and mobility assistance
• Report changes and concerns to the nurse or physician
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care in the chart
• Assist with hand-offs and transfer of information between shifts
• Support patient and family communication and deliver high-quality customer service
• Utilize transfer techniques to promote patient safety and independence
