Job summary

Ascension in Nashville is seeking a dedicated phlebotomy/Patient Care Assistant to support the Spine department during night shifts. You will obtain vital signs, perform blood draws, and document patient data, while assisting with activities of daily living to promote comfort and mobility.

The role emphasizes safe patient care, accurate charting, and collaboration with the healthcare team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs, charts patient data, reports abnormal findings.
• Monitors and documents fluid intake and output for safe patient care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
