Job summary

Ascension's Emergency Department in Nashville is seeking a dedicated professional for the Evening Shift on a full-time basis. The role focuses on rapid assessment, high-priority care, and coordination with the nursing team to stabilize patients and ensure safe transport.

Candidates should hold a valid BLS certification, a Tennessee driver's license, and an Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credential obtained within the stated timeframe.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Tennessee Driver's License before hire date.
• Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credentialed within 6 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Lead emergency response by rapidly assessing scenes and executing immediate, high-priority care plans.
• Deliver precision care using advanced medical equipment to treat and stabilize patients.
• Monitor vitals and provide real-time clinical briefings to the nursing team for care continuity.
• Manage patient mobilization and transport to ensure safe and comfortable transfer.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead emergency response by rapidly assessing scenes and executing immediate, high-priority care plans.

• Ensure care continuity by monitoring vitals and providing clear, real-time clinical briefings to the nursing team.


• Guarantee safe transit by managing the physical mobilization and transport of patients with a focus on their comfort and safety.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Drivers License credentialed from the Tennessee Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.


• Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's

degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
