Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Endoscopy support professional in Nashville, TN for day shift and PRN coverage in the Endoscopy department. The role involves patient prep, monitoring during procedures, interpreting results, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred additional certifications and experience. BLS certification is required within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Licensure or certification: BLS or American Heart Association accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, positioning, and prepping testing sites.
• Interpret, describe and report test results; recognize errors and artifacts.
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures and report abnormal findings.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

BLS Provider certification (within 1 month)

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, appropriately positioning patient and cleaning/shaving/numbing testing sites as appropriate.
• Interpret, describe and report test results. Recognize recording errors and artifacts and react appropriately.
• Monitor patients prior to, during and after procedures and promptly report any abnormal findings in the patient's condition.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies and lab area.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart
• Association or American Red Cross accepted required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
• degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
