MedStar Health in Washington, DC seeks a patient care associate to join the patient-centered team under RN supervision. You will assist with ADLs, collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and help with IVs and EKGs, documenting in the health record.

You will support staff with procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, and participate in rounds and handoffs. This role emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to policies, and continuous learning in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Competenze

• CNA, EMT/EMTP or CCT certification required.
• Nursing student with RN program clinical rotation acceptable.
• High school diploma or GED required (as applicable).

Mansioni

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal hygiene.
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy; obtain EKGs and document in health records.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and dignity; observe and report changes to the care team.
• Transports and supports patients during discharges, transfers, and appointments.
