Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Rehabilitation Unit Patient Care Technician (PCT). You will work closely with a registered nurse to support patient care and ensure safety and comfort for patients in our rehabilitation unit.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients at scheduled times, recording vital signs, responding to call lights, assisting with mobility and activities of daily living, and helping maintain a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred CNA/PCT or paramedic certification.
• Experience in acute or long-term care preferred.
• Phlebotomy proficiency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with the registered nurse to support patient care.
• Monitor patients at timed intervals, document data as directed, and report observations and patient concerns to the registered nurse.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs accurately.
• Respond promptly to all call lights.
• Assist patients with mobility and basic tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating and other ADLs.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in purposeful hourly rounding and bedside shift report as directed.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned and may provide clerical support to assigned unit.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
