Hillcrest HealthCare System seeks a day shift, full-time Medical Surgical Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Tulsa, OK. You will work under nurses and medical staff to support patient care, monitor progress, and perform ADLs with compassion.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BLS within 14 days of hire, with preferred CNA/PCT certification and 2 years in acute or long-term care. Phlebotomy proficiency is a plus.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and before direct patient care.

Responsabilités

• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients and prepares reports for RNs or medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures and records intake/output and assists with range of motion; may draw blood.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
