Job summary
Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Tech for the CDH Surgical Care Center, 6am-6:30pm with every other weekend. Under RN supervision, you will perform basic nursing tasks, monitor patients, and support daily care activities.
Qualified candidates include High School Diploma holders and CNAs/CMA/EMT or nursing students with clinical experience, with BLS certification.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student with one semester clinical required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic nursing care activities under RN supervision.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.
- Demonstrates prioritization and multitasking in a busy unit.
- Acts as liaison between patient care units and other departments.
