Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring Patient Care Technicians to support RN staff in several units. The role includes basic patient care, vital signs, and ADL assistance during 12-hour shifts (days or nights) and every other weekend.

Part-time and full-time opportunities are available. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing student status with one clinical completed, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, or nursing student with clinical completed.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities under RN supervision, including vital signs and glucose monitoring.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Report abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and equipment.
• Demonstrates flexibility and multi-tasking under unit pressure.
• Prioritize unit tasks and communicate with care team.
