Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the CDH Surgical Care Center (2B/C), a 49-bed unit caring for post-surgical and general/orthopedic patients. The role includes 7:00 am–7:30 pm shifts with rotating weekends.

The unit emphasizes certification and professional development, with a strong nursing staff achieving high standards. Required BSN and IL RN license; BLS required.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• IL RN license active.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• ADN acceptable if BSN pursued within 3 years of start.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data to identify expected outcomes and develops a care plan.
• Directs care and utilizes nursing staff appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents plan and progress.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and adjusts the care plan accordingly.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide decisions.
