Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Part-time PACU support role in Murfreesboro, TN. The position requires assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, supporting safe patient movement, and documenting care activities.

The role emphasizes observation, timely reporting to the clinical team, and maintaining a clean, safe care environment. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience) and is prepared to work in a busy hospital setting

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience is required.
• Professional licensure/certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support a respectful and comfortable healing environment by assisting patients with essential personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with safe movement and positioning to aid recovery as directed by the clinical team.
• Observe and report changes in a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
• Accurately document patient observations and care activities in the clinical record.
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and ensure functional medical equipment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Support a respectful and comfortable healing environment by assisting patients with essential personal care and the activities of daily living.
• Enhance patient safety and recovery by aiding with the careful movement and positioning of individuals as directed by the clinical team.
• Act as a vital observer for the nursing staff by identifying and reporting changes in a patient's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
• Maintain the integrity of the clinical record by accurately documenting patient observations and care activities in a timely manner.
• Ensure a safe and efficient care environment by keeping patient rooms orderly and maintaining the functionality of medical equipment.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
