Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, and supporting unit operations in a hospital setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Training provided; evening, night, and weekend shifts may be required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Limited or no experience; must attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as vital signs, ADLs, mobility, specimen collection, intake/output, meal consumption, monitoring glucose, and recording in EMR.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives (bedside shift report, hourly rounding, safety protocols, hygiene, isolation protocols, maintaining a clean environment).
• Accurately documents vital signs, weights, I&O, restraints, specimens; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
