Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a nursing assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vitals, and supporting patient flow within the inpatient unit.

The incumbent will document care in the electronic medical record, maintain patient privacy and safety, and participate in unit activities such as admissions, discharges, and transfers as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or able to attend 2 weeks of training.
• Must read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic mathematics and ability to use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct patient care and activities such as ADLs and vitals.
• Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Document vital signs, weights, I&O, and treatments accurately.
• Assist with unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
