Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Tech with CNA credentials. The role involves collecting specimens, monitoring patients, assisting with daily activities, and coordinating with RNs to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the Illinois CNA Registry OR nursing student with one clinical rotation completed.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Collects, labels and transports specimens as assigned.
• Obtains 12 lead EKGs and monitors patient status.
• Assists with personal care, ambulation and feeding per care plan.
• Performs hourly patient rounds and documents care data.
• Maintains patient safety and responds to call lights promptly.
• Supports nursing team to meet patient needs and learning requirements.
