Job summary
Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Tech to support patient care tasks, perform EKGs, and assist with daily activities. You will collaborate with the nursing team and participate in care planning.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and Illinois CNA Registry OR nursing student who completed one clinical rotation.
- BLS through American Heart Association required.
Responsibilities
- Collects, labels and transports specimens as assigned.
- Obtains 12 lead EKGs.
- Discontinues Saline Locks and Indwelling Urinary Catheters.
- Performs Bladder Scan and Point of Care Testing as appropriate.
- Assists patients with personal hygiene and nutrition as per plan of care.
- Performs hourly rounds with the RN and documents data.
